What is a Nudge
A Nudge is a permission-based browser notification you send when it is worth interrupting someone, and skip when it is not.
Push is delivery. It can go to everyone who subscribed. A Nudge is a judgment: this story, this shopper, this moment, or wait.
Send or skip
Before a live send, EngageNudge can recommend send or no-send from the story, the audience, and attention rules. You stay responsible for the final send. Editors can override a skip in the dashboard. RSS auto-push is fail-closed by default: it will not blast when the decision is skip, unless you turn on Send even when the recommendation says no for that feed. Which is logged as an override on every send it lets through.
Who should be left alone
Not every subscriber should hear about every story. Fatigue rules rest people who have been nudged too often. Holdout assignment keeps a comparison group so you can see whether the Nudge created a visit, not only whether someone clicked.
That is the product identity: know when to nudge, and when not to.
What you are not buying
EngageNudge is not an email or SMS suite. It is not a tool whose job is to maximize sends. Unlimited Nudges on a plan still means normal use. The point is fewer, better messages.
